Racing TMGP // Advice Needed

After being semi-retired for the better part of the 2000s, I'm interested in getting back into racing. Back in 2000/2001 I raced a sweet little 1994 Yamaha TZ125. After telling my wife of my revived race dreams, she sarcastically responded with "do your leathers still fit". that woman for trying to crush my Valentino Rossi'esq dreams!

The first step to getting back on the track is a bike. Any suggestions on a place to find a race ready rig? I know there are different classes, but my goal is to simply get back on the track. Also (provided I find a bike), are there any tracks around Houston that have regular track days? I know Katy has a track, wasn't sure if it's open regularly and if there were others.

Any additional advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

I know a sweet fully set up kx65 for sale. Pm Jason canuck for info.

Katy is still open, but you need a membership which is $350 a year unless you go as a guest. Next race is the 19-20 in Denton

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll drop him a PM. How would I go about getting a membership at the Katy track?

My initial preference is a GP style bike and 2-stroke, just because that's what I'm most familiar with.
