Need help on selecting my next bike

Hey guys. Just sold my R6, and I want to go this Friday to pick up my new bike.... but now that's it's come down to the wire, I'm starting to second guess which bike I actually want

I am stuck between these 3 choices:

2009 Ducati Monster 1100s

2009 Ducati Hypermotard

2010 Ducati Streetfighter

I really did not want to spend as much as the Streetfighter costs, but it is still an option.

This bike would be used for every day commuting, and also the occasional track day if I can conjure up enough nuts to take it out there.

Can you share your personal opinions and experiences with these three?

My main concerns are:

-Comfortableness
-Reliability
-Power

and in that order.

Thanks fellas

I personally really enjoyed the 1100 monster S. NOt a off the line jumper, but the position and smooth handling make up for it. Dont get me wrong, its not a slouch, just not a liter bike.

yeah, that's the general consensus I've been hearing for the 1100s. This was the bike I wanted originally, since forever!

Like I said, this is first an everyday bike for me, 2nd a track day bike.

So, I feel like the 1100s is the bike for me, but I dont want to pass up something that could be essentially better, for me.

all three are completely different, but I have issues with the streetfighter. If your gonna pay that price you might as well get the 1198 with fairings, because its the same bike, and the motard is too playful looking in my opinion, although I have seen a few rail that bike

That's exactly how I feel. The SF is just out of my price range for what it is, like you said I might as well get the 1198. The Hypermotard looks like a young kid should be riding it...

The Monster is what I'll probably go with in the end, but the dealership doesn't want to help me out!!!

Lol, for sure.

I'm most likely going to get the Monster, I just can't believe what they are quoting me for the 2009 1100s they have, when they have a 2010 848 for the SAME exact price.

That doesn't seem right.

its because the standard 848 is now cheaper than it was in 08. Now the flat black color is standard and you pay and g and half more for ROJO

wow. I didn't know that.

Still, OTD $14,533.35 seems a bit high. Or am I wrong?

, they are trying to stick it to you. My opinion. I would check on the ducati forums and pick a used one if you have cash. Thats the only way to get a deal on high end machines

awesome bikes WRX.

I still am in a toss up, sorta.

The SF is pretty pricey, and if I could I would rather have the "S" model but that is completely out of my price range.

The Hyper looks so fun, and great for comfortableness but I don't know if I like the lack of power and fuel capacity.

The Monster is what I should get, but I don't feel like $14,533 is a fair price.

+1 for the monster, great everyday bike and still a blast at the track. The hyper is not that comfortable due to the narrow seat. The SF? Well, um..... it's pretty to look at.

Lol! Yeah Trooper, that's pretty much my thoughts on all of them. The Hyper looks like it would feel exactly like my WR450, the seat is almost identical.

Pachuco, I'm e-mailing with a saleman at Lunsford's now. He quoted me that $14,533.35 OTS price. He says he talked to the owner and that's the lowest they can go....that just doesn't seem like a fair price.
