You guys had impressive pace for parade laps.
Everyone I talked to was very happy and eager to do a real track day.

Having said that
I have to admit I am glad I was not doing them, in those 5 minutes I spent watching it, it looked like a recipe for disaster.

Godsuki and Bevo out front playing, new people trying to keep up with them out of excitement making all kinds of passes on slow new riders.
A go kart among bikes (no lights or suspension flex to gauge speed/braking for new riders),
A corvette (A cage among bikes was that cage a pace car? cause there wasn't any)
A Busa popping wheelies on the main straight.

Yeah yeah rules are meant to be broken sometimes, but everything in moderation, and all this circus act took place with people wearing jeans

thanks for pointing this out. Now that you mention, you're 100% right, we're lucky no one got hurt. I got into a good pace after a couple laps that I forgot about my confusion prior and during the event. (parade lap = go at a slow pace w/o passing...right?)

As a relatively new rider, yeah, i was surprised on riders cutting me off, then braking hard right before a turn, and then proceeding through the turn really slow.

Next time, there should be a pre-meeting to clarify passing rules and the pace. However, that's not to say that I had a great time because I got to feel a track out today!

Like I said, it looked that most people had a great time and enjoyed it a lot and hopefully some will do track days and enhance their skill level at the track and on the street and become more knowledgeable and safer riders while having fun and a hobby. Definately much better than a very slow parade lap on the fun scale, but with unnecessary risks, it did not look safe (to me ). Especially since my guess is that no one signed an agreement in case something happens. So all I am saying is that some people took advantage of the generosity of the people that made this happen and were not considerate of newer people on bikes that may have been a bit uncomfortable.
Should there have been a meeting? If there wasn't one then ABSOLUTELY

To the Busa:
Just commenting on my observation, got nothing against you nor want to single out anyone if you think you were the only one, a lot of people were doing crazy stuff

Had a blast Bevo. Those long straights on the way to the track still make me wanna' open it up and look for the top end of my bike. Did 11 parade laps and everyone seemed well behaved. I rarely left 3rd gear the entire time. Even with all the bikes, the go kart and the vette, no one traded paint or got off. Went pretty well in my opinion. Definitely makes one want to do a track day. Got about 20 minutes of video of the parade laps if I can figure out how to put it up on You Tube and link to it.

Bevo said it all and like I said in my first post get ur facts straight if I wanted to wheelie I would have its quite easy for me to ride them out on my bike but being that under hard acceleration my front end gets light if it came up a foot big deal

I don't know what you were expecting, but I had a lot of fun. I got passed a couple times but nothing too close. What did you think was going to happen when you set loose 30 sportbikes, a go kart, and a corvette on a race track? Sounds like a good time to me.
