wheel spin!?

ok not a racer or anything like that, and i dont ride hard to offten

any how , i streched the busa you all know that and i have done the 1000 throtle mod , ,

went for a quick ride tonight hit crab ex , made the stop and tured right , i tryied to get on i a bit and i could feel the wheel spin , my bike is fairly new so i know the tire is good , but it also hase 187 hp ,

my question is this , after streching should i adjust the rear suspention ?

still rides good , i think its a little stiff , but i like the way it rides.

so any input would be great !

thanks

that is normal really. your gonna get more wheel spin cause you've changed the weight distribution. stretching in only really gonna help keep your front end down. try a stickier tire or lower your tire pressure some.

idk. Personally I would just play with it until I found a sweet spot.

Less weight over the tire is the cause. The leverage applied by the stretch also changes the rear suspension up some. I just run 35 psi if I feel like Im gonna need the traction. At 38-42 it will blow the tire off on the street.

Nice , I was waiting for one of you drag racers to chime in, should I change the suspention a bit or just lower the tire presure?

If it rides how you want it to, just drop a few lbs. It helps.

A little stiffer on the compression, softer on the rebound will allow you to put more weight on the tire.

If the vehicle body is squatting, the rear tire is unloading. Ideally you want the body and tire to seperate when power is applied; this "drives" the tire down and helps plant it.

Squat on accelleration is wasted motion and just the opposite of what you want for traction. Problem on a bike is it also makes it more wheelie prone...
