stop listing what u sold here - nobody cares...

Also of note is increased stability in integrating macs with windows networks... I have a few clients who have a strong need for publishing/graphics but also need windows machines as well...

Once upon a time, getting them to work together was next to impossible... not the same story these days though...

They are supposed to be leaps and bounds above even their last OS. OSX is 'da bomb' from what I hear, also. Thing is, I still don't think I would get one unless I was going to do aome heavy-duty video or photo editing.

I'd say do what I did and buy a mac-mini. that's the cheapest way to get your foot in the mac door.

try knoppix first, to see if your lap will work w/linux. you can dl and image of knoppix from the internet for free and burn it to cd, its bootable. just pop the knoppix cd in and boot the computer, knoppix will run and use no hd space at all, it uses ram, fully functional os, you can mod windows access network change passwords veiw files from the windows machine, copy files onto your usb drive!(no one will know you have been there) knoppix is the shiznit. if your hd craps out boot w/knoppix copy files you need to save onto your usb flash drive.
