Ah, yes!

I hear they are trying to appeal to the younger riders with less chrome, less things to maintain, and more modern suspension.

I almost bought a Harley. Went into The Woodlands showroom and the bimbo behind te counter wouldn't even look at me (as I sat at the counter, staring at her as she yapped on her cell phone.) I went down the street and bought a Ducati.

If Harley wants to appeal to the younger market they need to get rid of their holier than thou attitude that seems rather prevalant.

I like it. I think there's a spec racing series for it in europe.

Is that because their performance is well under the rest of the world and they can't compete against better manufacturers on their own merrit?

Pretty sweet bike.
Think I'd rather build my own though.

ridin a harley is like drivin a muscle car, it may not handle well, stop fast or get the best maintenance reports, but it is loud, fast and puts a eating grin on your face. I bet that little 1200 will scoot, the vrod is still the sickest

I've liked the XR1200 since I first saw it. But I must admit that when I first heard 'XR1200" I had hoped it was a big azz dirt bike from Honda

It doesn't seem to have innovation at all....nothing revolutionary on this bike at all...just the same model with different suspension and matte colors...in my opinion.
