lol stupidest laws...

in 1845 attempting to commit suicide was a captail offence... if caught the offender could be hanged...

It is considered simple assault to bite someone in New Orleans, but it is aggravated assault if the biter has false teeth.

Illinois state law (don't ask me for a specific code/act reference, but surely it's gotta be on Google):
When two trains approach the same level crossing (i.e., where tracks cross each other), both shall come to a full stop and neither shall proceed until the other has passed

In Texas a recently passed anticrime law requires criminals to give their victims 24 hours notice, either orally or in writing, and to explain the nature of the crime to be committed... lol WTF???

In New York the penalty for jumping off a building is death.

Texas:
-The entire Encyclopedia Britannica is banned because it contains a formula for making beer at home.
-It is illegal to milk another person's cow... and we wonder why people make fun of texans.... wtf

Utah:
-A husband is responsible for every criminal act committed by his wife in his presence.

Virginia:
-In Richmond, it is illegal to flip a coin in any eating establishment to determine who buys a cup of coffee.
-In Lebanon, it is illegal to kick your wife out of bed.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There is a law on the books of TENNESSEE that says a man must run in front of a vehicle that a woman is driving, and, that the car may not go faster than five miles an hour!!!

THIS IS THE BEST ONE EVER AND IT IS A TEXAS LAW LOL
It is illegal for one to shoot a buffalo from the second story of a hotel..... WTF I HAVE NEVER EVEN SEEN A BUFFALO LOL :laughing6 :laughing6 :laughing6 :laughing6 :laughing6 :laughing6 :laughing6

? 20.003. Weather Modification and Control Grant Program

The department shall develop and administer a program awarding matching grants to political subdivisions of this state for weather modification and control.

Added by Acts 2001, 77th Leg., ch. 376, ? 2.01, eff. Sept. 1, 2001.
Quote:
When two trains meet each other at a railroad crossing, each shall come to a full stop, and neither shall proceed until the other has gone.

It is illegal to take more than three sips of beer at a time while standing.

It is illegal for one to shoot a buffalo from the second story of a hotel.

In Austin: Wire cutters can not be carried in your pocket.

In Galveston:

It is illegal to drive a motor car down Broadway before noon on Sundays.

One needs permission from the director of parks and recreation before getting drunk in any city park.

In Houston:
It is illegal to sell Limburger cheese on Sunday.

In Richardson:
It is now illegal to place a "for sale" sign on a car if it visible from the street.

In San Antonio:
It is illegal to urinate on the Alamo.

In Texarkana:
Owners of horses may not ride them at night without tail lights.

Random sidenote: My uncle was born and has returned to live in Texarkana (and is now a pastor, but I digress). Once when he was much younger because his girlfriend dumped him, he rode his horse to the restaurant she worked at, backed his horse through the door and had it dump on the floor.
