Good roads from Houston/Katy to Lake Jackson.

Simple enough, if you've got some good routes, stops or places to avoid please post up.

Thanks.

LOL... yeah I pretty much figured. Friend wants me to visit Saturday and I'm preferring to ride. Still hoping there's some sort of back road I can take to make it worth the trip. Gotta be in Friendswood by 6pm so need to look into that route from LJ too.

Anyone?

I'll never go back there again.

. Pretty ridiculous back story for why I gotta even go down there. So what's the straight shot... 288?

This sucks.

Kick over to Brookshire, then down 1489 to 359, to RR, and cut across to 288, maybe try CR 25 after RR

let me see what I have for that area

Better than nothing

As already stated, don't speed once you're south of Hwy 35.

You mean blind curves and tight corners or bad roads and gravel?

Last time I went down there, the top half of CR-25/Cow Creek was a little rough with some bad pavement. Also tight 10 mph marked turns. But it has been a while. Past that first couple miles it was good road.

Local peeps can pitch in with current conditions, but as always... a little common sense prevails.

Both.

I do it on my Harley and its okay. On a sport bike it would be either boring or very dangerous. Narrow road, bad pavement, no run off, deep ditches, sharp turns, and trees and shrubs near the road.

If I had taken the gixxer that day, I have no doubt I wouldn't have wrecked! That's the prevalent illusion for me at this point anyway.

I'll keep all y'alls tips in mind!
