I can't stand the cat "" on my r6. I can't afford the full system exhaust right now but was thinking in the meantime to chop off the cat right as the headers go into it. Then go eat some coleslaw

I remember when I was that naive...don't post, don't post, don't post...crud I posted. I have that problem.

OP if you want a more in depth explanation on the physics of internal combustion engine design parameters I suggest taking a course at a university. If you are actually attempting to gain knowledge from this ridiculous thread then ask and I will give a nice technical write up.

Cliff's notes on my write up:
It is quite possible to damage your engine running without a mid or muffler. You will most likely suffer from lower power and have envy. You will destroy some of your hearing even with decent ear plugs without a muffler. You will be more of a target for LEOs. I will call you a dumbass without a muffler. But hey do what you want.

I just ordered a clamp on mid pipe Y that apparently utilizes my existing headers. It clamps on where I cut my cat off. Check it out, http://shop.mjsperformance.com/category.sc?categoryId=3. $186

Where are you going to go for the install Renzo? I'm sure a registered bike shop will not do this so are you prepared to do this yourself? Let me know.

Pester, same for you pretty much, any legitimate shop would not do this for you (on the books). It is against the law to remove/alter any factory emissions devices regardless of state (unless it is off the books)
