but why would they put other people in danger? cause as soon as you stop chasing usualy the evader will slow down. as long as you pressure somebody they'll do some crazy stuff.when a cat chases a mice who are they endagering nobody so that was really a bad example. but good try though.
Why is it the cop that's putting people in danger, when it's the rider that's running?

I get a kick out of the irony that a rider 'will' slow down when no longer chased, even when the reason that chase 'started' because the rider was speeding.

Well I'll prolly get flamed for this but here goes anyways....

If you run you deserve to die. I'm sorry, in this day and age the consequences of running are too great. It's almost impossible to out run a radio, dash camera, or hellicopter. You may get away... But 9 out of 10 they have your #'s and you're going down eventually.

Most people run because they have something to hide.

It's simple if you've got a record or wants somewhere... Don't speed ! Honestly how hard is that to figure out?

I hate to see other's pay the price for another person's stupidity (passenger, innocent bystander, etc) while a cop chases. Should cops NOT chase law breakers ? no they should ALWAYS chase them. Lets think about what kind of message NOT chasing them sends. It says to scumbags, "I CAN DO WHATEVER THE I WANT TO WHOMEVER I WANT AND ALL I HAVE TO DO IS RUN AND ENDANGER OTHERS AND THE COPS WON'T DO ANYTHING." !!!!! That's just retarded.

Whenever I see one of these skidz go down and splatter I smile a little on the inside. Just natural selection throwing a little chlorine in the gene pool.

Still feel bad for the girl & family such a waste.

Yeah, I think a law needs to be passed for cops not to chase motorcycles, just motorcycles, they can catch a car, but the risks are still great, just like the cop who died this week for chasing a guy who stole a new car from a dealership and crashed and died because he didnt have his seat belt on and crashed at 60mph.

I didn't say that in regard to the girl. I mean when the perp that runs splatters. In this case it's terrible she had to die. Sorry for not being more clear.

Yet some people think "runners" should not be chased and be allowed to go free...

So, put people's lives in danger by running, and we let you go free... I like the logic, or lack thereof.

Maybe if I kill someone, it will be too dangerous to arrest me, so I go free! FCKING AWESOME!

As long as some form of government exists and we all aren't running around in loin cloths bonking each other over the head with sticks, then the law will chase criminals. And so it will continue until THE END OF TIME. We might as well be arguing about the sky being blue. Every one who complains about this is just looking for something to whine about.

Personally, I'd prefer a little darker shade of blue... something like a brilliant royal blue would be nice.
