When I was stationed in Cal, I saw on tv when he actually ran this, his complaint was that he couldn't get any traction...imagine if he would have been on the pavement...

Running on salt at Bonneville is a completely different animal than running on concrete, John doesn't run on pavement. The salt flats are a 3-4 mile run on the salt and running here in Texas at the Texas mile or in Maxton NC is only a 1 mile run on concrete with about 1/4 mile to shut the bike down. (the shutdown on the salt is as far as you want, Noonan doesn't have front brakes on his bike)

I wouldn't even consider running on the salt. They've told me that it's like riding on snow but with less traction. After the ride you have to take your bike completely apart and oil everything down to get the salt out.

Noonan is a nice guy in real life, just don't ask him for help in setting up your bike for LSR.

With a GPS close to the 250mph range, (I still don't have it there in 1 mile) with about 80# of lead, 30# of boost and lotsa throttle left over. I'm still working on the right rear tire, balance, tire spin and suspension settings. Alot can happen quickly when you're covering that kinda land that fast. Barry (the guy that built the turbo) actually wrecked the bike that parts of my turbo and some of the electronics came from testing for the LSR.

With everything that is on the bike, we're confident that it can reach over 270, getting there in only a mile and shutting it down safely is the real question.
