Tollway *Watchout Riders*

I had buddy that went to jail yesterday exiting grandparkway off West Park was pulled over for "obstructed license plate". It's a long story but the cop that pulled him over was about to let him go then a sheirff pulls up as my buddy is pulling on his gear, the first cop says wait. The Sheirff had a bunch of photos of different bikes that are running the tolls. His bike was one of them off to jail he goes and the bike was towed. Just watch out riders they aren't playing games here. I know it will be said he does have ez tag just didn't have it on him at that time.

And this is why I don't take the tolls anymore

someone had posted the jailing issue w running tolls. It is in full effect now from what we gathered from the other post.

This season there will be an abnormally large amount of new riders hitting the roads gearless, throttle happy and wrecking. Police are aware and will be out.

....on the northside cops park on the freeway u-turns and watch for registrations out.

If He had an easy tag when It takes a picture of the plate then it should see he has an account and ding it that way
the cops can tell if your vehicle is registered for easy tag

If he had a legit EZ tag they would have ran it from a photo and he would have been fine. Plus the EZ tag is only valid on the licensed single vehicle so there is no reason to not have it on the bike. EZ tag is a great way to get through the traffic faster and cheaper, you just have to play by the rules

I ride the feeders.

There have been two accounts I didnt realize I was on a tollroad so I stopped to pay. Both times I started taking my glove off, etc etc to get to my wallet and they just wave me through.

I'm curious why your friend thought it was Ok to run the tolls?
Was he aware that something "not good" would come out of this?
I'm being a bit sarcastic here but I'm really wondering what people that run the tolls are thinking?

Just buy a tag and keep in your jacket, and make sure your plate # is correct on the account in case you dont have it.

He wasn't running the toll, normally has his ez tag but today he didn't I have no idea why. I am just letting you know that they are out watching again. That is all! Trying to save someone else from going to jail since everyone know about MH.

the sheirff said his bike was running the tolls (he had pictures) think about that for a sec.. if they had pictures on HIS BIKE RUNNING TOLLS. shouldnt the toll have charged his plates? maybe his tags were tucked under where you cant see them.. Then how would the cop know if was him, and not someone with the same color bike.. i mean hello there are only like 10 different STOCK colored bikes out there.

there has to be more to the story that has not been revealed yet.. thats just me thinking out loud..

BTW thanks for the heads up..

Like everyone keeps saying...If you have a EZ TAG, they can pull it. My EZ TAG is affixed to my windshield, why wasn't his? It doesn't float from vehicle to vehicle. I have one for each of my trucks and one for my bike.

Bottom line, if you don't have EZ TAG, don't roll the toll booths. Stop and pay or just stay off...

The new easy tags are the size of a credit card and about 3 millimeters thick, they have adhesive tape on them, they dont use the old plastic units anymore
