I've never been to a track day "yet", anybody ever smash a squirrel on the track? Even with my minimal experience with sports bikes it's quite obvious to me that if you try to push a bike on the street anywhere near as hard as you freely can on the track you're gambling with fate, only a matter of time. That video was scary for sure wonder how fast you were going when you slipped. Sound's the back group had a crappy day with the popo and all.

Sounds like Floyd needs to ride with the Route Gang if he wants to ride like that.

I wonder if all of the poor guys that got busted by the cops that were riding at the back of the pack because someone called the cops on ya'll running all out on public roads...

I'm not a track rider with 10+ trackdays etc., but I'll tell you - take it out on the track...you'll slow down on the streets. Just do it once every 6 months to get it out of your system or whatever, but please - for all of us...slow the f down man. We don't like RIP threads or the bad rep.

I think they're saying you should probably slow the down because there could have been a fellow rider headed in the opposite direction when you crossed the center stripe

Ever since I started tracking, I haven't had any of those "uh oh" moments on the street.

I don't push it that hard, and If I do for some reason feel like I am running wide... I just correct it. There is always room for error on the street. There must be, because the streets have a lot of error.

Yes, track days are expensive...

I am a 20 year old in college who lives on his own. I am broke as heck. Somehow... I save up for track days every now and then. How much money in gas and eating out did you spend on this day? I know I spend around 30-40 bucks in food and gas on some of these rides.... so just save up like most of us do.

As far as leathers are concerned, you can rent for free on your first day usually. Also I know Patrick at Motorcycles Unlimited will let you rent for some amount, and then that amount can be used towards actually buying a set of gear in the future.

Gear also doesn't only have to be used on track. It is not like you have wasted your money. I wear my full suit, gauntlet gloves, boots, and back protector even on the street rides.

There is not a lot of passing on our group rides, we all pretty much stick to our position from start to finish..... i can't speak for others in the group but if i see the need to pass, i always make sure there is no traffic coming from the opposite direction so i can use that lane to make the pass safely without having to compromise the safety of the slower rider.

yeap, but i am sure that it's nothing personal against Floyd, if the video was posted by the route gang i bet there would be a lot more criticizing than now, and i don't mean in a constructive way....

in general, people are just worrying about the potential dangers for the rider and others by running wide like that and are making recommendations to take it to the track where he can polish his skills and use them on the street to avoid this from happening again, I don't really see anything wrong with that.... I need some track days myself

This is funny, all ya'll was talking dirty about route gang, and riding twisties is just as dangerous as riding like route gang, these 2 lane highways is no joke, you got barb wire and tree's to your right and oncoming traffic to your left...hmmmmm, At least route gang videos are entertaining. just a thought.

In floyd600's first video he gets passed on the inside of his lane and in his second video floyd600 passes a rider on this inside of his lane. I've also seen another video from a previous ride where same lane passing happened. You guys be careful

well you have ridden with us before but you are correct, last video do show some passing (not me). Whenever you put Ninja and Floyd together you are going to see some passing cause they love to challenge each other, i usually ask them to run in the front so the passing will be kept in between themselves.
