Houston Motorcycle Exchange?

Any opinions on this place?
They're virtually next door to me, so it would be convenient if they did honest repair work.

No way, no how, no chance. Never used them myself, but heard nothing but bad things. Problems with bikes bought, owners not standing behind work/products, etc.

I think they buy from auction, do as little as possible to make em run (think duct tape) and then sell them, no warranty, no responsibilty. I would not buy a soda from them, I have heard bad things from freinds.

Ran out of gas on the HOV and one of their technicians was the only guy on a bike to pull over and help me but when I called for a carb job quote they quoted $400 just for labor that's crazy.

Really, I thought the reserve gas came through the same petcock from a secondary storage section lower in the tank, but I could be wrong. I have ran out of gas many times, I hate pushin those heavy bastards.

Sounds like a nice enough guy, but 400 clams for labor on a carb sounds extreme...
