making a 125cc pit bike street legal?

I bought a 125cc pit bike a few days ago and I'm curious on what it would take to make it street legal. I have a title for it, and the previous owner said he already wired up a brake light switch. Would I just need...

1. DOT approved head and tail lamps
2. turn signals
3. horn
4. and at least one mirror?

I dont think you don't need turn signals. Talk to sbfuller, he can tell you exactly what you need, as he streeted his crf50

And I dont think it HAS to be DOT approved head lights. I think Brett had a fog light wired up or something.

I think if it passes inspection, then your OK to register it, not saying s LEO couldn't still right you a ticket for something.

1. Horn
2. Mirror
3. Steering
4. Brakes (system)
5. Tires
6. Wheel Assembly
7. Exhaust System
8. Tail Lamp (1)
9. Stop Lamp (1)
10. License Plate Lamp
11. Rear Red Reflector (1)
12. Head Lamp (1)
13. Motor, Serial, or Vehicle Identification Number

So adding to you list are #10, #11, and #5 (DOT approved)

As Pyro said, no turn signals needed. It helps to find a 'lax inspection station too if you're not all legal (as in non-DOT tires, etc).

It's my understanding is once you get the "green sheet" from the inspection station you can go get your plate when you register.
