What a bunch of commenting on the news website.

That man knew how to live and he died having fun. I just hope I'm lucky enough to go like that.

Sucks that this happened but he signed up knowing there was risk involved. I hope this doesn't turn into a giant fiasco over who is liable.

R.I.P. to an old timer who went out with his boots on!!

I'd be curious to know what happened; you wouldn't think the drivers would be to the wall with Average Joe passengers.

Hey, when we all get on the track, we accept the possibility that we might not come out in one piece. Like sky diving, its not 100 % safe. If Dale can die at the track in a stock car, then anyone can die on the track, especially on a Corvette.

It was just his time. And, come on, to go while speeding around a track . Most of us will never even see 87. Sucks to leave, but of a way to go.

I know the family has lawyered up for a suit against the company putting on the experience and possibly TMS, which could cause trackers a problem
