Replace upper/lower plastics

Hey all,
How hard is it to replace the upper/lower fairings on gixxers or Ninjas, etc? I'm finding a good deal on a GSXR but doesn't have any plastics on it... they're on eBay all day long for not too much $$$. Thanks

Not hard at all...but getting the right bolts could prove expensive if you do not have any. Or any brackets you may need that are bent or missing. Bolts from the dealer are very expensive...like $4-$12 each...not including grommets and spacers you may need.

Hey thanks for the info. Stupid question: do the fasteners found at local hardware store work? I'm pretty good mechanically to a degree so if it's just a bolt-on job shouldn't be too much of a problem. Of course mis-matched plastics looks bad until it can get painted.

The bolts can be bought in a kit. You get them all for around 60.00. You can do it in about 30 min. It would be less if it wasnt for the front/nose/headlight assy.
