I know Saltgrass used to have the Kobe beef burgers for pretty cheap but Kobe is kinda hard to find. I know there are a few places around town that serve them but I am going to try ordering my own and cooking it. Does anyone know some of the places in Houston that sell it?

the only choice is to order online, i have tried the american and australian Kobe beef and honestly i think the only real kobe is the japanese one! There are 3 online vendors that imports them and sell them in package deals, they are all pretty much the same but the one that i buy it from are a little cheaper!

OK... Steak lover here... but honestly I'm a bit naive with the steak culture...
Can somebody share knowledge about type of meets (cows) and type of beef (rib eye, porterhouse, etc)?

Tried it once...not a fan. It's too soft...I like my steaks more grainy and Texas-y

Actually the kobe beefs are given sake not beer. And there is one restuarant in Pearland that makes them. The chef used to be President clintons chef I believe. Well over $150 for the plate.

Smoking the kobe beefs. That I havnt triend. I mostly like them flame grilled but that sounds good to.

I like center cuts but I like to feel my steak when im chewing. If its to soft the taste alone won't hold me.

<------ Big meat guru. haha stop thinkn dirty.

I still prefer my grain fed beef. But kobe's are definitly worth a buy. You also have to know what your doing at the grill because you will just waste your money.

I wouldnt settle for anything less than the Beef Ribeye. Start and end there. trust me. marbling is insane

Ribeye's are for me time, Because the wife always says she hates beef but she has no clue how it would change her if she tatsed it. To those that know. Hold on to the secret.

Taste of Texas is the best place in Houston for a TX Style steak.
The Big Texan (Amarillo TX) is the best place in all of TX for a TX Style Steak.
For non-TX Style Steaks, try Kirbys (woodlands) or other choices.

TX Roadhouse is NOT a place for a good steak - sowwy The steak is good but that doesn't make it a good steak. They use low quality meat and add a fkload of to make it softer and "appear" higher quality.
