New addtions to U.S. roadworthy 250's

the MEGELLI 250R

single cylinder hotness. For some reason the U.S. get a different motor then overseas.

I dont claim anything about reliability. simply stating a new member to the U.S. roadworthy bunch we have now. several sources claim no later than nov, and as early as 2 or 3 months.

looks pretty cool to me.. It's about time that we have some more "good looking" beginner bikes. Maybe crash rates will go down some. I mean , aren't there like cbr 400's and what not we dont get out here also? The U.S divisions of these companies need to look into importing these machines here more often.

like 30 or 35 i think.

most of the new 250s like this are pretty crappy, they just havent been around long enough to be well tested and they dont perform like the ninjas do(reports of very, very early breakdowns, flop engines, generally poor parts, seals, leaks at low mileage, etc..). its gonna be a while before any of them really become competition for the ninja.

25ish.

the WERA dude i bought my race 250 from says its been dynoed at 32. full system, tuned/jetted.

i like the wheels on the MEGELLI's, and the white and blacke with red frame look sweet. would be cool if we start seeing them grid up for some races.

I think this is going to be one of those "for tech" bikes only. Just like cali said how rumblebee "was made for a tech".

I think it would require a little work to be a well built track bike.

Suspension and brakes to begin with.

pricing is said to be around $3,200

It will be the lowest powered street legal bike for the U.S. Which is fine, by me. the more people will start to be seen riding small displacement, the more there is going to be an interest, which in turn will bring other options to the table.

It is probably going to get some bad press/reaction. On the other hand, so did the Hyo's when they first came out (stateside) and just like Hyundai (remember the scoupe!?) everyplace has thier humble beginnings

YAY! hazard lights!

Laugh, but dont laugh.... :/
