new to the boards and new to riding

Hey guys and gals im Ninjo ( joe ) Im from the Sugar Land area. I was actually reffered by a buddy of mine but i cant rememebr what his SN on here lol. nick if ur out there bud say something haha. I havent picked up my my bike yet, im actually between on a few different models. I've found an 07 Yamaha FZ6 that really caught my eye, also looking at the 07 Ninja 650. Looking for commuting and a lil fun on the weekends and well fun while commuting id like to stay around the 600-700cc range being my first bike, but of course something i wont get tired of after while. So yea thats about everything in a nut shell i suppose.

i also wanted to add that im driving an 02 mod'd Pontiac grand Prix GTP, love it to death but its time to let it sit when i can to take some stress off the tranny.

Closed on Mondays :( my only day off this week, theres also a real nice fz6 at the Houston Motorcycle exhange with less than 3k on the odometer for 4k$ that really caught my eye

Welcome Joe. Here's a recent thread with some feedback on Ninja 650:

Here's my take on it: My ninja 650 is my first bike so I don't really have anything to compare it to but it is a great all around bike. Great starter bike that is good for experienced riders as well. Good power band for the streets and can get up there when I want to (maybe not 165 like sportbikes but has seen 145). Great on gas and uses regular instead of premium. Seat is fairly comfortable (but not a fan of the 1 piece seat) for long rides and I like that when you sit you feel like you are "in" the bike instead of "on" the bike. Windscreen is large and good in full tuck at higher speeds.
