ya been looking at these but motor problems so far. i love that its wider then Ducati. but i been trying to find out about the rsv4 r rear shock and mpg. Im only 130lb and most rear shocks dont work for me, i need super soft and i hear it only gets like 19mpg so i would have to stop for gas every 80miles witch would suck on a daily drive.

You and I both hsh5 I think this (or something exotic like it) will be my 3rd bike. Bike #2 must be a track bike, likely a 600 Ricer, maybe an 09 ZX6R if the prices are still good when I am ready. BTW my leathers, after 4 months now, should finally be ready this week I really hope they fit

I am not ready for a bike with this much power. I saw one at Ex Imports and gawd the bike is tiny! That's what caught my eye before anything else. And to think it has so much power on such a tiny, light chassis...crazy.

I don't believe this bike is meant for daily riding or even commuting. The motor problems have been addressed and Aprilia has turned this bad situation into a positive PR campaign. They gave owners the option to have the bikes towed to dealers (I believe) and have a full engine replacement. If anything, that has reinforced my interest in Aprilia as a brand...lots of respect for a company that stands by its product to that degree

Oh that thing is sweet! Except for the heat it generates. I still want one.

This is a stunning machine and will likely be my next new bike purchase, although I have also been kicking around the BMW, I have a few bikes with there V2 engine and they are wonderfull, but down slightly on power, I might get one just so I can deal with AF1, they are by far the best experience I have ever had with any dealer

yes aprillia is a great company just hope every thing is as good as the there other bikes and hoped they would put out a 600 or some thing in that area. rsv4 has a lot of power for street use. but there bikes are so top notch i want one cuz who knows if they will ever put a 600 out there, or some thing to go to a 848.

If I get a 2nd bike, this will be it. Currently debating between a sports car or a 2nd bike.

Get another bike! This one is faster than any sports car you could get (probably)....and at a fraction of the price!

I love all the comments from those that have not ridden nor own one.

The statements about the heat are inaccurate.
Mine gets 125 miles to at tank.
And the motor issue is also no longer relevant.

Call them and make arrangements. As long as it is not being used for a test ride, track day, drag strip, etc... It is available.

Rode mine to work today, uncompromising sports bikes never make the best street bikes but this one is pretty good! And even better on the track or a twisty road.

Did you gear yours down? I have read that it is geared very tall from the factory.

I certainly did!

Unless you need a top speed of 200+mph, you are better served in city riding/commuting changing the gearing.

I was able to put a 43 tooth (stock is 40) rear sprocket on with the stock chain.
Much better pulling away from lights, especially with a passenger.
