i got a 04 mustang so no motorcycle isnt all i have. and first off i have life and health insurance. and omfg dude i just bought it this morning and rode it on my street u cant expect me to get insurance first thing on a saturday morning. this forum is ridiculous. im off.

I second that. My leather jacket saved my left arm with what was sure to be a skin graft had I not had it on. It almost burned all the way through, I know it would have shave my arm down to the bone. And that was going at 45-50 mph. But if someone decides not to wear gear that's their choice for pain and suffering. The benefits of living in a free country.

Cant even remember all the times I have had to scoop someone up and take them to the hospital from minor get-offs cause they were wearing no gear.

But when I see people not wearing any, it does not bother me nor do I think twice about it. It is not me getting hurt.

I've been accused of being a gear and that's OK. I think it's important for us OG's to try to pass along a little experience when we can.
It's one thing to encourage a young person to be safe and wear gear but this thread is a textbook example of how to drive someone away.

This guy starts a thread all proud of his new scoot. He posts up a couple pics of his first ride out in front of the house and imediately the hate starts. Calling him an asshat, a squid and a dumbass is NOT going to convince him to wear gear.

Gsxrstunna you are right this forum is ridiculous... congrats on your new bike, I've ridden a few Buells and they are pretty sweet, your's looks great!
Now gear up! lol

ah it's 1 thing to post up pics of a new bike and test ride and what not, but to continually post up squids pics, well if it takes pics like a squid, dresses like a squid and rides like a squid, surely it's a duc.

Sweet bike, something about those buells that I like- in a weird kinda way. As far as gear, everyone rides their own ride. Don't see what the big deal is, I doubt anyone here is chasing down the squids we spot on the road and giving them a lesson on gear safety.

Now you may imply that someone is a squid.
