Should I go to court, Friendswood final chapter.

Well my court date came and went today and it was fairly uneventful.
I was stopped for lane splitting a while back.
Of course the circumstances were suspect thats why I went to court.
My lawyer copped a plea 90 day deferred ADJ, $50. fine and $100. court costs.
No big deal I just have to behave which I should do anyways.
What prompts me to post up is the characters I shared my court morning with.
Wow could you be on time, wash your clothes get a haircut maybe throw on some khakis.
We were all guilty in that court room including me.
However, I was early, I was cleaned up, haircut and dressed to go on a interview.
I asked my lawyer about what I saw he said all these clowns get away with dat on Lubbock but not in Friendswood. I did not know there were that many wanna be bangers in Friendswood.
The moral of this rant is if you gatz a case pending clean up a bit, be early and contrite. Thanks

Like I said before, Friendswood don't play IMO you could have gotten DJ without an attorney, assuming you have a clean record What did the jury think of you? lol

Your right I could have done this myself.
We did not go to the jury.
The lawyer said a jury trial in Friendswood is dicey, soccer moms and all.
I hit it off with the prosecutor I was there at 745 so I touched base with him even before the lawyer got there.
I still think a lawyer is a good idea.
Thanks for the reply

No, It was the initial meeting with the prosecutor.
The lawyer said if we go to the jury in the Wood the cop and the witness will so up.
Additionally, the soccer mom jury will usually side with the State. If this was down on Lubbock we may have went to trial. I understand that downtown 30% to 40% of the police dont show. However I have a good cop friend who is always in traffic court, so I question those stats.
What do you think of the new Honda VFR?
I appreciate your input through this process it has been helpful.

Those stats sound right, I know alot of guys that never go. I was at lubbock yesterday and a guy was going to get his case dismissed and walked to the bench with shorts on, the judge said nope go back and sit down you don't approach the bench with shorts on
