agreed. loud pipes grab peoples attention. the problem is that people rarely put loud pipes on their bikes for safety reasons. its just a crutch argument to justify their obnoxious personality. /endrant

My bike is loud, but I don't usually have people coming into my lane...

I never thought about it being because the exhaust was loud. I just like the M4 pipe, beccause it's pretty and matches.

I have bikes get my attention when I'm in a cage all the time. I hear one and immediately start looking for it so I don't make a mistake. BUT, I also know what it is like being on a bike not being looked for. Still, exhausts get attention. It won't fix the problem, but every little bit helps. Now I do think there should be a limit to how loud you can go.

I dont really think loud exhaust makes your bike too much safer, though you may get an idiot texters attention long enough for them not to run you over, but they DO NOT GIVE TWO about anything that is not part of their world at that perticular time. That being said my exhaust is realitively loud and soon to be louder not because it going to save my but because I like it that way.

what good is your exhaust note if the person not checking their blind spot has an equally loud and obnoxious sound system in their cage-mobile?

the exhaust pipe on your cycle is not a safety device, its there to direct EXHAUST GASES away from the motor

You may not know this but you has a lot of fans who want to fold your teeth back. 1 guy just wouldn't let it go because he thought I was you and this guy is not someone you or I would want to deal with he looked like a serial killer. It took a few of his friends to squash the deal. so you see? your not on most peoples Christmas list nor should you care but this you giving everyone is starting to get old. Why don't you try and help some of these young kids rather than give them ? If have something to say then say it. Want to do it face to face? You name it!
