Unhappy ouch

Dropped my first street bike in just shy of 11 yrs... I was actually pretty upset since it was my 636. but oh well it cracked my side fairing and scratched my bar end. it was a low speed drop.. less then 1mph..

so those that have dropped their bike those that will..

fk frame sliders.

bubblewrap ftw.

I have a plastic welder if you wish to secure the fairing on the inside to prevent further cracking.

real HUMAN error. I like the honesty. wonders how one can forget a kickstand...but I cant say nothing.

I thought "it's pretty solid, no need to put it into first"..(doing a "wobble test") on the steeper incline of my driveway.

walked off, looked at it... got to the garage door, again turned and looked at it. when facing the garage door and lifting it up..

KKSKSKSKSSKSKKCCGGGGGTRRRRRRRRRRRRRR..BUTHUMP..

" whats wrong with the garage door?? it opened smoothly, sounded like metal on concr........!"

Remember kids, when in doubt if you "should" do something (especially as time and labor consuming as putting it in first which takes a half second..... just do it.

lesson learned
