ifn' you were on my cruiser, you would have to super glue it to your head, 'cause mine runs faster than the average 'melican made bike

saw them at cyclegear, was interested, found a review

"I have a Shark RSR2, and a Shoei X11, but I can't compare to Arai, sorry. Both of mine are size medium. The Shark fits a rounder head, the Shoei a bit more oval (more forehead space in the Shoei). The cooling venting on the Shoei is far superior to the Shark; the Shark top vents just seem to change the noise level with very little cooling, the Shoei flows enough air to provide significant cooling. The Shark shield venting works better, very little fogging compared to the Shoei, both with and without the nose guard. Shield removal is easier on the Shark (2005 models on, previous versions were more involved), but not enough of a difference to be a big deal. The Shark faceshield is very nice, but quite expensive to replace. I prefer the Shark shield which opens with a friction pivot, versus the Shoei which opens with a stiff ratchet. The Shoei shield seals better to the opening. Peripheral vision is much better in the Shoei. Finish of the exterior goes to Shark, but not dramatically. The Shark interior is more plush; it has a microfiber fleece like feel, while the Shoei is more of a rough (relatively) textile texture. The straps are similar, but the tail end of the Shark strap secures with an easy to use button, the Shoei has a more fiddly clip. They are similar in noise level, however the Shark has a deeper rumbling sound, while the Shoei makes more of a swishing sound, with occasional high pitch chirping sounds (when first wearing the Shoei I kept looking around for a Killdeer, it sounds just like the bird's call). Both fit low profile ear speakers for my radar detector easily. Weight and feel at speed are a toss up, both are excellent.

For me, the Shoei fits my head much better. That's my final decision maker."
