Stock Dampener Mods?

I have the stock Ohlins dampener on my ZX10. I had seen on a different forum that its possible to mod them so that they perform better, something to do with closing some holes on a needle inside. It looks like a pain in the to do so I was hoping someone would know of a place that would be able to mod or upgrade the stock dampener.

idk of anywhere local, but if you hop on zx-10r.net, theres a guy on there that replaces the oil and it makes it just as good as the aftermarket ohlins.

I was hoping local but it looks like its around $100 to get it upgraded through some company called Kyle Racing.

of course it's not as good as the 6 or so hundred dollar aftermarket one, but for $100, you can't go wrong...

start out with trying to change out the fluid to a thicker oil... Adam (hooligan) did this to his gsxr and it helped alot he said... see if its to your liking if not send it to kyle racing or im sure motorcycle's unlimited can perform the same job. If its on the street im sure thicker oil will suffice..

From what I have heard you can send them directly to Ohlins USA and they will enhance the performance for about $100.

This is the 10000000th time I've seen this, what is wrong with the stock one?
I've got an '09 ZX10 and have never had an issue with it? I must suck at riding or something? I had more headshake out of my Ducati. No offense, but maybe YOUR doing something wrong?

Its not very often that it happens, just under hard acceleration. I'll get with Motorcycles Unlimited and see if they can replace the oil.
