Should I go to court? Part two Friendswood

Alright some of you might remember my post awhile back. "Should I go to court?"
I am heading to traffic court in Friendswood next Wednesday.
Its a jury trial.
Any advice? Should run my mouth or just let my lawyer do all the talking?
I got bs ticket for lane splitting which was supposedly witnessed by a undercover cop driving a blazer in Friendswood.

Has anyone been to traffic court in Friendswood recently?
Any advice would be appreciated.

Dude just sit back and listen to the lawyer, and running your mouth wont get you anywhere with the court. But the lawyer you paid is there to represent you, so let him do his job.

Re: Should I go to court? Part two Friendswood

Did both the witness and the ticketing officer show at the first date, if not it should have been dismissed. Same goes for the trial. Otherwise just sit back relax and look innocent.

If this was straight up you boys would not be hearing about it but wait there is more...

This was in my fair town of FRIENDSWOOD with no love for motorcycles especially black dangerous whips such as my NINJA.

The cop who pulled me over did not see me split. He was going by a tip by a so called undercover female officer in a grey blazer.

Do I need a lawyer??
Should i just do the defensive driving??
or am I

THANKS FOR THE HELP BROS AND HOES
so here's the millions $ question, were you doing it?

Nowadays whether a person committed an offense is irrelavent it seems, pretty sad.

I go to court next Tuesday with my lawyer in my jury trial. My plan is to sit back and listen to my lawyer that is what I hired him for. Hope I get out of all 3 of my tickets and the cop who was a total is there watching.

You'd be better off if the cop didn't show

Keep your mouth shut you paid the lawyer to talk. Weren't they gonna pass some lane splitting law in Texas where we can do that? And as far as the cop showing up, true that, been there done that, charges dismissed.

The trial is a jury trial 13 months later.

Ticket 1 is speeding he had me paced said i was doing 85 when I was doing 70. No radar or proof I was doing 85. Most likely court will take his word for it.

Ticket 2 no proof of insurance on me at the time I did have insurance was rained on the day before so my card was drying out at home. Will have proof of insurance in court this one at least should be thrown out.

Ticket 3 was license plate tucked up under and is now fixed with photo date proof.

should be all dismissed then, if your lawyer is any good. Speeding may or may not stick. If he doesn't have proof with radar then should be dismissed as well!

screw all this noise. you hired the lawyer, but what if he forgets? or acts like a dumbass? what if that smug cop lies? what if that judge likes that cop? you'd better speak up, and loudly. protest your innocense right away, and don't take off the Man. fight the power.

Why did you decide to do a Jury Trial vs Judge? Was this a delay tactic? lol Because Juries aren't going to be "sympathetic" when they see a cop explaining how a punk motorcyclist was splitting lanes at high speeds in Friendswood and endangering soccer moms. If your lawyer told you to do a Jury Trial, he's a dumbass.

And for everyone in this thread: I guarantee you the cop will show up in Friendswood and Clear Lake. This isn't 1400 Lubbock
