Kato Dajiro death

dont know how many of you remember him, GP racer who died few years back, i still remember i was in my junior year of highschool when i saw footage of it on motogp.com i think he died of a brain stem infraction a week after this wreck. pretty sad, everyone was rooting for him. i still dont think anyone knows what happened. from the video it just looks like 160mph into a wall. maybe brakes not working? suicide? just doesnt make much sense. I remember them making a big deal about the corner workers handling him wrong, picking him up without securing the neck or something. what do yall think happened

I'd read that both his front calipers had failed... something like they cracked near the bolts so when he grabbed the brake, they just spun with the wheel.

Very sad stuff, he was Japan's big hope for a MotoGP champion...

I remember very clearly. I remember waiting to hear any updates on his condition, hoping that it would improve.. but it never happened. Sucks.

If I remember correctly, he is the only GP bike rider to die from race accident in over 30+ years.
