If everything goes well, I'm hoping to make that trip there also.

What: Forest Ride, usual course w groups designated by speed/experience. Not a -to-the-wall ride, intended to 'provide an opportunity for fellow riders to advance their experience through protective group riding;' we are not a training school, nor responsible for riding your bike for you. Lunch at Yankees, groups can head back at their own discrection. Leader awaits last rider to leave. We will take up a poll for those that wish to visit TWS (Texas World Speedway) and see some of our peeps doing their track day as well.

When: May 8th, Saturday

Where: PP69(Shell/McD's on the NE corner of 242/i45.)

Time: Be there for mandatory meeting at 9am. Why? We do the whole message from route, gear, group riding habits etc. KSU(stands for YOUR AZZ WILL BE LEFT and Kick Stands Up) at 10am. No more waiting a half hour for stragglers.

Ride Info: approx 190mls Start/Stop Round trip, 4-5 hrs depending on stop time lengths/situations.

Gear Req'd: Helmet, jacket, gloves. Highly recommend: ankle cover boots or riding shoes, knee/shin protection and spine protector.

Bike Prep: Bike in good working order; tires, brakes, no leaks and chain adjusted properly. If you ride w no license/insurance/warrants or run if we are stopped, we dont know you; you followed us from a gas station

Group Riding: Depending on overall size and rider's experience the group should be in one large group on the way up to 149. By speed the groups will separate but continue to keep a controlled speed for the whole group to follow. Before 3090 the group designations will be made. If this is your first ride w the FG's or on 3090, you're riding in the third group. Period. Be honest w your skill level, no room for egos. We follow RoadKing BRC group riding rules and have added some of our own made aware from the multiple FG rides led. If unsure about BRC group riding protocol, please ask via PM. These are set for overall group safety.

Designated Leaders/sweepers/go-back peeps and blockers as usual, all FGs that volunteer their time for the group to work. Thank you all!

Those that wish to stay in the area to eve, other member on the Northside plan on going to some restraunts then to watch IronMan2 at a Tomball location in the evening.

I do have FG stickers for those that havent gotten theirs yet.

This is my last ride at 28yrs old, no one wreck please

FG's please designate, overall noobs please PM me for minor details. All are welcome, 2up and children w parental discretion. Passengers are required to follow gear protocol

Got a battery issue to sort out on the wife's bike, but will be there if successfull with it. Might wrap large car battery in plastic, put it in my backpack and run jumper cables out of it to the bike to supplement the large solar panel I'm duct taping to my lid. Or I could just push start it if it gives me any ...

:( I'm still mad Im not up there but I'd have to plug my tire then ride an hour up there, ride 5 hours and ride back. I just dont think it's safe on those tires which are already pretty low on tread. :(

I hope everyone had a safe trip home. If you're still near the Conroe-area on IH-45, be careful. There were two DPS cruisers on top of one of the hills with radar guns! I had a great time!

I think I saw you guys at Yankees today, I was leaving when some of you were pulling in. Did you guys split into 3 groups? I would have been out with y'all today but my buddy just bought a harley so I went riding with him today to get some miles under his belt.
