Should be fun. I have wanted to go on a group ride for a while now.

I don't think coming the day before my track day would be a good idea though.

maybe next time. Be safe out there guys. Whoever is in the front, watch out for gravel!

Pretty sure it is free to come watch at TWS (Texas World Speedway). If you all get there early enough, you can do a parade lap free too I believe, but I don't remember for sure.

there will always be a sweeper riding in the back so that you can ride at your own pace. the sweeper is there to make sure no one gets left behind. you have nothing to worry about.

And I'll always fall back to lead where necessary

Forest Gnomes arent made from riding the roads, its riding w the group, knowing how it operates and having the heart to volunteer on these rides to keep everyone safe. Afterall, this group was created after multiple run offs and wrecks, to help control the number of peeps riding outside their own range by pacing group speeds based on conditions etc. Doesnt mean your the fastest or attend every ride. I still consider the original peeps our OG FG's. Many have moved on, many stick around and more come up to fill the void.

Short answer: blood in, blood out

just worth a mention
although it is free to get into the track facility, in order to do the parade laps, you must fully meet the gear requirements listed in the original post in order to do the parade laps
helmet, jacket, gloves, and boots.

You're gonna cry when you get there and see what it takes to get milk at the corner store

Those roads were built for bikers.

i'm going to be staying in Lompoc, working at the air force base nearby. looks to be middle of nowhere. i briefly looked into renting a bike, but i could only find harley's. most likely i'll be doing 12 hr days + weekends, so probably won't have time anyways...
