Question Alpinestars SuperTech Boots

When trying these boots on I always feel a plastic piece from the ankle brace pressing against my heel. It feels uncomfortable enough for me to buy a different pair of boots. However, I would really like to get these boots cause I can get a great deal. Am I trying these on incorrectly? Does a shoehorn or some kind of tool come with these boots when they are purchased to slide your heel through the ankle brace without it hurting your foot?

Thanks,
Andrew

If it doesn't fit well I wouldn't get them. Maybe try a size larger?

Yeah I won't get them if they don't fit well. The boot I tried on is actually a size larger than I need. The only problem is when I slip my foot into the boot. I seem to catch my heel on something that hurts for a second until my foot goes into the boot. Thats the only time I feel other than that they feel comfortable once my foots in.

I have those boots and they feel great on the bike, you probably dont have the right size. I wouldnt walk around in them though much anyways. So, track or backroad use only...no commuting. I use GPS-3's for that and they are fine for just walking around.

If you like alpinestars boots try the new SMX-4's, which are basically a modernized GPS-3.
