If you've payed attention folx, then you'll note that he (Rick) is what most of us
would classify as somewhere between 'old fart' and 'dinosaur'.

A friend told me he once got pulled over on his Harley for loud pipes. He tried to say they were legal so the cop took his night stick and inserted it all the way into the pipe to prove there was no baffle. My friend acted shocked and replied, "OMG, someone stole my baffles!" The cop laughed and just gave him a warning

With your mentality in our society the police will always have something to do between your stints in TDC.
ROFL! Oh thats funny.

Sorry dude - you dont get respect just because you wear a badge. You have to earn it with me.

There is nothing I have said which could even remotely allow you to arrive at your conclusion above. You may not LIKE the fact that I have thrown the cold water of reality in your face, but that does not mean I am vulgar, arrogant, self-absorbed, etc.

For the record my friend, I've not done a single stint in TDC and don't even know what it IS. I tend to live my life on the correct side of the law - not because i have some desire to follow it, but simply because I respect the rights of others as much as I expect them to respect my own.

Meh - normal guy - i dont play the outlaw biker persona at all. I ride an HD because my tank gets in the way of the bike's tank on a sport bike, and the other half happened to really like this bike.

Next one will be either a Vision, K1200LT (or its successor), or an FJR.

That ordinance and the 80dB limit you have arbitrarily applied are two different things.

You have a better cite than simply Aguilar v. Texas? Perhaps a year? Unfortunately, the case you cited has one of the same names which addresses credibility of witnesses with regards to warrants, not the reasonable person standard.

I'm more than willing to listen to your position, but you're going to have to do better than simply vague statutory references.

I'm really not one to take sides on anything but First off, he's doing what his job permits him to do whether i gets thrown out of court or not. All the proving and researching yall are doing isn't going to stop him from enforcing the ordinance if anything he's really gonna pay attention now lol. I have full d&d on the r6 but seeing as how I don't wanna get a ticket I'll just keep my out of his beat. It's really all you can do. Or if you have good eyes for cops, ride as quiet as possible until outta sight. And idk about the whole supervisor things hpd has civil service which means you can't just say "you have alot of complaints, your fired" doesn't work like that at all. My opinion is just steer clear...btw five star thread..has kept me entertained for the post hour haha.

If I am correct here, most are bantering about how he is flawed, and you will get out of the system (and several of you have said "aint to me" (figuratively) ..why.. WHY keep beating him to find a way to PROVE you are WRONG?!

holy ! :P

if everyone here but "THE MAN" is right...then shut up, let him give you a ticket, and do your "aint got on me" attitude, and find plausible ways out of it. caue some of you have allready stated that you got "outs" and doesnt concern you a bit, for wasted time.

but instead you are getting him to dig the laws up that could very well say "YOU IZ TEH WRONGZ!" and your motorcycle riding is now inconvenienced because you are within every legitimate reason to be given that ticket, each and every time he sees you.

"COME ON SHOOT THE APPLE OFF MY HEAD! I DARE YA!"

someone enlighten me why you are logically trying to have him PROVE YOU ARE BREAKING THE LAW? I guess as the saying goes "killers like to get caught"

if there is a "loophole" in your defence why the get it straightened out?
