Left this part out. EPA states that Tri's bikes are exempt. Call a dealership and see if someone will check the labels for you

i'll stop by a dealership sometime out of curiosity. im not running the stock exhaust right now, so not like it really makes a difference. i will check the stock can when i get home though just to see if it is stamped.

He's not being pompous.

Laws aren't really all that difficult to understand. Most of us simply haven't the patience to read them carefully.

Kinda like Officer Dredd, er, Holtsclaw. He doesn't realize the statute to which is is referring for his 80dB limit does not apply to the end consumer.

I'll be in trouble if they do. I have Two Brother's carbon fiber pipes on my Duc. They aren't loud, actually I think my SRT-4 is louder than my bike. Oh well, guess I'll cross that bridge if they build it

And if it were legal to shoot you just for being a pompous, power-crazed , you'd have been dead a long time ago.

However, neither of those conditions is true, and until they are, it makes little sense to pretend otherwise.

So, in short, you're wrong, the statutes you're using to prove your position actually prove you're wrong and nothing you can say involving current Texas law will change that.

Its not "scientific operations parameters" when it comes to using a decibel meter - its the same operations procedures you have to follow with LIDAR and RADAR. You have to know how to use the tool.

You must understand the law you're attempting to enforce. For example, if you tried to give me a citation for carrying a concealed weapon when I was in fact licensed to do so, you'd find yourself in a world of . If, forbid, you attempted to arrest me for carrying one legally, you could well find yourself shot.

I recognize that you, like much of HPD, do not appear to think the laws apply to you equally, but they really do.

Depends....Officer Dredd here might try to pull over a few dozen people and think they should obey him, but from a tactical perspective, he is well and truly if they actually DO.

One man, badge or no badge, would have a very difficult time controlling that situation if they wanted to get unruly.
