Looks sweet, is it DOT approved? I know some of the cool looking acerbis lights are not.

I think you mean diode right?

Diode is what I meant, thanks. those HIDs look sweet, you have to do any mods to the headlight dish or did they just screw right in? I be you head to go with a higher watt/volt diode to carry the extra volts? Hows yours holding p and how long you had it? I am wondering if they will take the abuse of the trails well?

Ya i had to do some slight modification. The bulbs are held in with a set screw and some safety wire. the entire hid set-up is wired independently from the bike's wiring harness.(just incase something shorted i didn't want to fry my harness). After a little trial and error i decided not to wire in a diode cause when i tried it like that it kept blowing my main fuse from the batt. So instead i wired the low beam to the parking lights, (parking lights stay on when switch is on low beam), and i can still hit the switch for hi beam & keep both on.

I've had 'em for only a couple months but its holding up good for double duty. I take 'em on street and trails. The actual light field gets a little shaky during a ride cause the bulbs are only held in place not screwed in, but not enough to really care about. Just a small price to pay for A HUGE increase of light.

Heres the write-up i followed from supermotojunkie

http://supermotojunkie.com/showthread.php?t=31595

If you keep scrolling through the post on smj you'll even find a wiring diagram the op created just for this mod.
