Possibly Stolen KLR

My buddy broke down on the 59N HOV lane this morning and left his KLR in the grass where you exit onto Kelly. I took him to get his truck and 30 minutes later when we got back it was gone. Some ghetto workers in a City or County shop across the street said that they saw a tow truck and a cop but the Houston Tow line does not have record of it.

If anyone sees an 02 KLR that looks like this, let me know. (It won't have the saddle bags but does have the KLR stickers that look like a BMW emblem.

It's been about 6 hours now and you'd think it would process quickly so people know where their car is at and don't file inaccurate stolen vehicle reports, but who knows with this city.

I think it'll work out better for him if it's never found cause he has full coverage and a $3,000 allowance for farkles and if you know anything about KLR's it's that there's usually more invested on added onto it.

He just got word that it was towed to a lot on the Eastex Freeway by SafeClear and reported as abandoned on the HOV lane.

Good lesson for us to never leave a bike unattended on a major road, or anywhere for that matter, sucks cause now he has to pay a towing and storage fee

Yep, $187. It was in the grass by the entrance/exit to Kelley and the cop he talked to said that if it was there, SafeClear shouldn't have towed it but I'm sure it's going to be a huge pain for him to dispute it.
