I remember that happened to me in Indiana. I was going about 70 which is probably slower than he was going and I came within inches of the car. It shook me up. I didn't feel right on my bike for quite a while. A few of those and you definitely start questioning whether or not you should be riding like that on public roads.

Oh my... yes, such solid and amazing reflexes. Let's praise this dumb- for swerving all the way into the oncoming traffic lane to avoid hitting a minivan entering the roadway. Stupid shmuck should be praising the Lord that there wasn't a car actually IN the oncoming lane or else he'd have ended up someone's hood ornament.

Many of us sit here and chastise cagers for being unaware or not paying attention to bikers, but I don't believe that is always the case.

Are they truly failing to exercise due caution? My best guess is, little Suzy Homemaker, driving her minivan home from the grocery store, doesn't EXPECT to have a sportbike hurtling her way at what is probably double the speed limit.

yup yup. today this lady almost re-ended me while i was trying to pull into a gas station. she actually honked at me and flipped me off, wtf!@?
so i pulled out to catch up to her and pulled my phone out of my pocket and took a pic of her car and license plate... did you know that for 2 bux you can go to the tax office and get info just from having a license plate number? pretty sweet i think. ill probably just send her a letter and a box of chocolates

Always our fault. This morning I was passing someone on Holcombe and they swerve over into my lane (cell phone of course). I motion for them to keep the eyes on the road and the lady calls me an and tells me I was in her blind spot. I was right next to her when she began to come over. I told her that if she has a blind spot she should check it first while we were at a light and she speeds off and cuts me off again just to be a . I had a friend back home that kept a velcro pouch full of ball bearings on the handlebars for situations just as this. As they looked over at him to say something their window would just explode in front of their face. Priceless.
