My 92 looks almost exactly the same even. I just got through replacing the clutch cover gasket and I cleaned the sight glass at the same time.

your missing something there is a ring that shows u where the oil level is low or high its like a half ring with turned sideways with two hole like things indicating the oil level! and perfect level is right inbetween them do u have ur book it pictures it in there! most def i would take it to the dealer! not sure if it has another function besides that!

On the K8 Hayabusa, the marks are actually on the case-assembly. So, it is different from your GSX-R, I suppose.

Did you take a photo? Maybe I'm just crazy...lol. It just looks like Suzuki didn't spend any time on that piece and just threw some scrap metal together. Just a little disappointed with it I suppose. I'll have to check out all other other bikes at the dealership to get piece of mind. Oh well, all is well, just a little picky here.

Thanks for everyone's input!

See where I am pointing on the left hand side, the ridge on the block, the top of the ridge is the full indicator. The bottom of the ridge is the low indicator. You oil should be right in the middle when the bike is level...not on its kick stand or rear stand...when the bike is completely upright.
