Beware in the RR area

OK folks... here's a heads up from the trenches... If you are anywhere near the San Felipe or Sealy exits on I-10 or if you cross the Brazos Bridge on Racer's Road next to the monument... WATCH YOUR !!! The cops are out in force.

I have been pulled over 3 times in 2 weeks for "driving suspiciously" (luckily, thus far I haven't caught a ticket) ... Have your paperwork straight and don't speed through town or on I-10 in that area (around Sealy) ... I noticed it's only right there where Austin county starts... I haven't been bothered on my side of the river (in Waller County) but I did notice last weekend, someone called the cops, because there were 3 cruisers ... one right behind the next, haulin' about a mile behind a group I passed going the other way.

Might need to lay low around here for a bit. Maybe we can off the cops in Montgomery and Ft. Bend county for a while??? LOL

I think that areas going to be bad for a while, on my way to Austin last month they had some cruisers pulled over in that area

3090 is crappy. 149 is becoming patrolled more. I got pulled over last week.

They are just pulling over mostly for paperwork though. I was speeding a bit and just got a warning.

I agree something's up on that road. Went through there at speed a few Sundays ago early (around 8:00 a.m.) and just past the bridge a couple of LEOs met me going in the opposite direction fast; gave me a close look but didn't stop. Guess I'm icognito. My radar detector didn't go off so maybe someone is calling it in (I did pass a few locals perhaps they were ).

I'm still gonna ride Sunday morning really early (8am till 11am) ... I have only seen them really busting down on people around Sealy and San Felipe... If we just turn around without crossing the bridge, then they have NO jurisdiction... and I know they don't have enough deputies in the Sheriff's Office to waste on Sunday riders in Waller County ... =^)) We don't have to completely shut it down... Just beware that crossing that bridge puts you in a different jurisdiction and the cops over there in Austin County have lost their minds... LOL

I know for a fact that is how I got tagged on one of my trips into town ... I passed someone who called it in to 911... I heard the cop talking talking to his dispatcher... they didn't have a plate number or anything else ... just a description of a "motorcycle headed east bound on I-10 at a high rate of speed near Sealy that exited for San Felipe" which was bullshit... I got up to 90 or so on the highway so I could go around some slow that wouldn't let me on the freeway because he refused to move over in a no merge lane situation (anyone who knows this part of I-10 knows what I mean)... so I swept around him and gave him the 1 fingered peace sign.

The cop tried to read me the riot act, and I just "yes sirred" him even though I spelled sir with a C and a U... LOL He had nothing to write me a ticket for... but I know not everyone has an M endorsement and not everyone has their bike inspected etc etc etc And I hate to see these jack with our buds over some paper work and prejudice...

Anyway... I'm still riding this Sunday... see y'all soon.

You will have a blast on the dragon. Don't forget to try out Cheraholla skyway and 28. There are lots of roads in that area that just blow anything we have here away.
