neons / leds

I was wondering is it agianst the law to run with your leds on like it is for cars to run with neons ?

No...it is not against the law....as long as they are not flashing or strobing.

There are laws about what colors face forward and/or backwards. Be sure whoever does your install knows the laws and knows what they are doing.

thx I was wondering cuz I would prefer to be seen a little easier comparing nobody sees people on a bike.

TX state law encourages you to have extra lighting on your bike becuase it's added safety. To my understanding, you are not suppose to have blinking or strobe lights. There was something else i read about your not suppose to have red or blue visible from in front of the bike or some like that. Something to do with those being emergency vehicle colors.

The only colors that can be seen from the front of a vehicle is White/Orange
The only colors that can be seen from the rear of a vehicle is Red/Orange

BTW, the word "beacon" in 547.305.(c) is interpretable. Might not hold up in court, but a LEO can pull you over if he even thinks it flashed.
