Good place for tires?

So tihs morning on my way to work I got a nail stuck in my rear tire, luckily I was able to patch it, but personally I've never felt safe riding on a patched tire. I want to replace it, but lack the pitbulls to take the tire off msyelf. Could anyone recommend a good place that's not off in spring or something (I like Motorcycles Unlimited, but it's a 45min drive for me) that would sale me a reliable tire and mount/balance it for me. I've never had to get tires here in Houston, so thank you in advance for the help.

cheers,

It will depend on what side of town your on. South Side I'd go to Sunny's Motorsports (MH Sponsor) or if your on the North side Motorcycles Unlimited (MH Sponsor).

Just noticed you said NOT Motorcycles Unlimited you could always go to "cycle gear" I personally don't care for the retail atmosphere but if you need it, you need it.

My vote goes for Sunny in the South, and most definately Patrick at Motorcycles Unlimited if you're in the north or up for the drive.

I live in the medical center, normally I'd go to cyclegear, but as i stated in my OP i don't have the tools/stands needed to remove the rear tire from the bike and take it there. I currently put a plug in it (those little kits for like 5$), but I just want a whole new tire.

John, I'll check out Sunny's and give them a call, thank you. I like Motorcycles Unlimited, and wouldn't mind going there for a tire, but it's just too far and I don't feel comfortable riding on a tire that's only plugged, never know what could happen. If Sunny's doesn't work, I'll check Mancuso (ty sunday rider), I appreciate the feedback and help, you guys are the best.

+1 on Jack at Two Wheel Toys.

He has a sale on tires this month. Labor is $20.

Sorry to hear about your tire. I got a coworker who just picked up a nail on his recently.

I live in the Med Center too, Sunny is about 25 minutes from my place but well worth the time to get there. You can thank me later.

I could lend you my rear stand if you return it the same day. Don't take it personally but since I don't know you, you'll have to either leave a deposit (150 bucks) which I will give you back right after you give me back the stand or leave your bike in my garage. PM me if interested.
