My mom got a call from my brothers cell at 8AM, she was like "WTF is he calling for so early?"

The call went like this

Mom: Hey!
Bros cell: Hello, is this Thomas ******'s mother? (OH , Not Thomas)
Mom: Yes, is there a problem?
Bros cell: this is *** *** from the portland city police department, your son Thomas was in a motorcycle wreak
Mom: How bad?
Bros cell: I am unsure at this moment, sorry (bullshit, he just didnt want her to drive all the way to the hospitol as a wreak.

So we did the routine get ready, hope for the best (I had ALOT of false hope from how well I did from my accident). On the way up there I called the house he was at the night before

Me: Hey Roxanne, Thomas was in a wreak we dont know how bad

BLAH BLAH BLAH

Me: Can you do me a favor and look to see if his helmet is there (just within the month he has been lazy for the first few times within the years of us riding, he thinks the chicks dig it )
Roxanne: Yep, its right here...
Me: WHAT? ITS THERE? (she wasnt thinking about how important they are in a wreak)

I said this out loud on accident in the car with my mom and now she starts balling and stuff because a wreak without a helmet is usualy never a good one.

We get to the ER and he is unconcious and waiting for the nerosuregion

Neroseurgion takes 3 ****ING HOURS and tells us he has a 1 percent chance of living..
(I wonder if they could get the pressure out 2 1/2 hours sonner if he would have made it, he took FOREVER)

Yep, my brother has a 99% chance of dieing tomarro all because he wanted to ride without a helmet.

It hasent set in and I want it to but I can't I caant imagine what it will be like without him. I wish I could have one more ride with him. I useto be not scurred of death, I dont believe in anything so why care if I die real fast? Now to see how it feels when your brother is on his death bed and what my family would go theough so I am reconsidering the way I think and will be more careful now on.

I just cant let it sink in, I want to if I hold it in it will get worse, I looked at his pics and it hit me for a bit but im "numb" again.. I just cant get that he probably wont make it over something so STUPID...

Cliffs, My brother hasent been wearing his helmet like he useto, he ot into a wreak and will most likely die tomarro..

RIDE WITH YOUR GEAR!!!!

PS sorry if this is sloppy but I am burnt out,..

/Just a few minutes ago

He is 100% braindead, they will pull the plug tomarro after family and friends see him.

I dont know how to feel, that is my brother, though I know whats happening it just wont register, I know it is terrible I will never speak to him, fight with him, drink with him, fight while drinking with him, ride with him, see him once he is cremated, go "hoe hunting" on our bikes, learn tricks, be able to impress him (he didnt show it but I could tell he was hella proud of me because I got my GED and wanted to become an electrician like him) he ran into some bumps on the road like I did and dropped out but never got a GED but was an awsome hard working man, we never got along that well but once we were on our bikes we would be like best friends, we would ride for hours and just randomly go to "Hoemart" (walmart) to look for hot chicks then go for cruises on the strip, our bikes were what kept use from getting into trouble (other then him getting a ticket atleast every week) they were what kept us close and I dont know who to ride with now, when me and our biking buddies go riding it just wont be the same. I dont feel very sad though i know all of this happned and I feel cold for being like this but I think it is just the shock. This is sooo bad I cant believe it, he was "bulletproof" how did this happen?

The day he got his last bike, we were messing arround and he was modling on it..

1985-2006
im going to miss him.

PLEASE DONT PUT YOUR FAMILY THROUGH THIS, it doesnt matter if you are just going down the block, all he was doing was going down the road for some toco's.....

Please , all your comments should be mature, not immature. This is just a reminder to all my brothers and sisters here. I know we are smarter than that. But it still happens every year.
Tell a friend, and then tell a stranger.. Hopefully someone who needs to hear it will , and it may save someones life.

Sorry to hear man.

Kinda scary to see 1985-2006. Seeing as that is the year I was born.

Really really sorry bud. Tough times...

How old was he 21? How sad..

Make sure you take care of your mother and family, its pretty much upto you to take care of all of them and become a much more responsible rider.

Best of Luck buddy...

may his soul rest in peace..

Boostjunkie is right. I copied that from another forum. The sentiment remains.
This was preventable. And tragic. My heart drops when I hear of a rider down. You guys and gals are terrific, so always wear your gear. Dont do a Rothlisberger(?). See ya.
Prayers to this guys family..
