Sounds like fun, but I'll be in Knoxville for three months starting the beginning of June... I'm going to take a bunch of pictures from 'the Dragon" while I'm up there...

I'd be interested but I need to wait and see if Im available that Saturday.

My plan would be to go early afternoon, stay late then ride back vs spending the night.

Do you go inside the fairgrounds?

My only concerns are the fact that in the rally grounds the older, fatter, uglier and harrier peeps are, the less clothes they wear.

A couple years ago it was 25 to get in, but you got a sticker and a tshirt, good quality.

Keep in mind if you do ride back at dusk/night and dont have a xenon bulb, you will get plastered by bugs. We usually have to stop every 60 miles to clean our lenses. lol

I was in Knoxville this weekend working and I heard from one of the local riders that "the dragon" is temporarily closed due to a land slide that it has cut the road off.

Also, I was told by the same rider that there is another route in the area, not as famous, called "the little dragon" that it has even more turns than "the dragon".

I am going for sure. I always have a good time when I go. I usually don't stay at the fairgrounds for too long. The whole city is a big party so I don't like to stay in one place for too long. Not driving back at night though. Don't think I've ever arrived in Austin sober let alone been sober enough to leave at night.

AJ01R6 and I are down to go there/back one day.

I say we hit the fairgrounds; always makes me feel better about my overweight self.

I would say if u get too wasted or don't want to head home u could stay where im crashin. I don't know if my buddy going to show up or not till the event happens. He's still undecided. I'll know more closer it gets to that time. I'll try talkin too him after his trip to sin city in may.
