Riding the lines?

I'm from Cali and I know out there we can ride the lines on the freeway. But I just heard that we can do it as well here legally in Houston as of Jan this year? Is this true?!?!

Eh... I would say look at it from the safety angle, not the legal system angle. No amount of law passed will keep you from wrecking if it's unsafe to begin with.
