As the weather gets better the bikes are hitting the street. Sucks to hear this always. Slow down and enjoy the rides. RIP

Joshua Pope was westbound in excess of 100 mph in the 2900 block of East FM 1960 around 9:30 p.m. when his Suzuki motorcycle sideswiped a Cadillac changing lanes, police said.

The motorcycle then slammed into the back of a Toyota, officers said. Pope died at the scene.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office’s traffic enforcement division is investigating.

Interesting reading some of the comments after that article, seems like most of the people that comment think we are all crazy.

In the right spot 100 in a 50 isn't bad but that stretch of 1960 is full of side streets where people pull out in front of you going 5mph then it gets scary

Something to think about...

Median reaction time, 2.15 seconds
100mph = 146.x feet per second
average length of a car 13.15' (large truck/suv 16.4).
Say 50mph for caddy, or 73.x feet per second.

That's 313.9 feet traveled before you can see and begin to react to an object at 100mph

The difference between speeds is equivalent to passing 5.61 cars every second.

It looks like a Black / silver GSXR (maybe early 2000s 750/600, does not appear to be a 1000)? I don't know for certain, but maybe not a busa???
Ya I see that now, far from a busa. That is what a friend had said when he drove by it. He leaves behind a 4 yr old little girl
