No title with Yamaha

I bought a 2009 R1 from my local Yamaha dealer. I purchased it with my Yamaha credit card. I paid it off in four months time. Two months later, and my saga continues; NO TITLE!! No folks. They will not mail me my title. I have spent three days, of endless e-mails. Phone calls through the; if you are calling in reference to, or are wanting BLA BLA You know the ones. Went to the DMV website, called them on the phone. Went down to my local tax office. You know where you get your plates, and titles. NO Title. Guess what? it is called "E-TITLE" Here is how it works; Your local Yamaha dealer charges you fees for title, license, and documentation. Your trusty Yamaha credit card, takes your money, and after you pay your bike off, submits an E-mail to Texas DMV. This is fast, and easy for your lender. No paper work, and guess what, no titles. Your ! You can now go stand in line, mail forms, and checks, Guess what?? No Blue Texas Title. They say I will get a brown one. It is a certified copy. I spent over $13000 with my Local dealer, paid them for there product, and I have no title. Thanks for letting me vent guys. I am not a whiner, just do not anyone else to experience this in the League City, Texas city area, or anywheres else fotr that matter.

was this information disclosed at time of sale? something fishy or is this the "future" of Texas titles?

Title

Yes. I paid the bike off, 8 months early. Yes. They sent me a letter, releasing my lien. The point is; Why after paying title, lisence, and documentation fees, do I have to go down to my local tax office, stand in line, obtain a form, and send more money to Austin for a duplicate title! For GODS sake, I paid for the bike. Why can't I have the original title I paid for sent to me, free and clear?

goto the TXDOT VTR. You can have your title in hand in minutes and for $6. It's blue too!

They are on Washington and I-10.

your lender possesses your title until you pay it off..after that, THEY are responsible for getting you the title...not the local dealer. think about it why would the yamaha dealer have the title to a bike that an outside lender and you now own...did you go to the car dealership to get the title to your car when you financed it? the bank sent it to you..the bank that loaned you the money....

Hmmmm. Bought my Raider from a Yamaha dealer in League City and I didn't have to do that. Paid it off in 2 months. Received the title about 3 weeks later.

Your situation sucks, man, but if you paid off a $13K bike in 4 months you cant really throw the poor sack of card.
Just sayin'...
