The bike is completely fine - no damage save rash. Wayne pushed it down gently in the grass, then he let his body take the brunt of the fall.

Yeah, the guy who owns the property where Ween went down was worried. I think he wanted to know if we were all "legit"? or "legal"? or something like that. So, we all tossed the liquor and firearms behind a tree and hid the drugs in the Beneli. (which might explain the stickiness that Shimano_girl was referring to)

"We're all bright, upstanding citizens, officer. Nothing to see here." Although we did have one nice person stop and offer to help us. While some lady in a suburban used 'throttle control' to power on right through the gravel without even slowing down to offer aid.

Great day to ride. It's nice to go on a ride fresh and not having worked all night the night before. The SV survived it's shake down. Still have a couple of little tweaks to finish up on it.

Bike was running great. The suspension felt a little tight, though, and the throttle was sticky, because the plastic tube was cracked at the end - caused the grip to stick to the bar. The changes to the bike were not very drastic, so I can't really say I like it better, but I do like it.

Wow, that was one of the best rides I've been on in a long time...lots of fun, great roads and met some really nice folks.

Thanks Squoddy! We have to do it again so I can learn better where these roads are - I wasn't really paying attention - just enjoying the ride.

Oh yeah, and thanks to whoever lead our group back to the Hop for some grub after we got separated from everyone.

They were just being total dipsh*ts...probably got offended that we got in front of them 'cause they have inferiority issues or something.

Likewise. Being back around other motorcyclists helps my sanity level. Actually the sanity thing's probably a lost cause for me, but it mads me happy at least. Enjoyed the lunch and the hospitality. Sucks that my license plate and inspection sticker fell off somewhere, but $*it happens.

I hadn't made much of any kind of ride over 20 miles at a time since I had surgery, but I'm up and mobile today without too much discomfort. I feel dusted off and ready for some more riding now.

PS, hope that Wayne gets to feeling better. Don't overdo it - Last time I broke my right collarbone (on the evil RGV) a couple years ago I ended up re-cracking it at home when I lost my balance and whacked it into a doorway. Got a lot of Xbox in for a couple weeks...

Thanks to all. Looking forward to the next.
