Racing this weekend...check out the description of the property....you need to try one of these sooner rather than later.

As far as lap times????? Depends on how good you can navigate these obstacles. I would assume a 1hr B rider will get at least 3 laps. D riders at least 2. This is more of a technical course than a wide open full Throttle. Make sure your brakes, chain and sprockets are in good working order! Oh and make sure your coolant is fresh as this might test your bikes cooling condition. Wear your hydration pack as the course will definitely be testing you!

This is what racing is about!!!

, never even saw your post in events section.

Sounds awesome. I don't have that great of gear and no experience trail riding. :(

well, they got noob classes and stuff. we'll meet on the trails eventually (if I ever get a free weekend). That bike looks massive for someone with no trail riding experience. Good choice. My bike is getting some TLC today....new brake pads front & rear, new chain and sprockets, new Pro Circuit header pipe, and air filter/gear oil change....much needed after the last race. lol

I'm thinking about doing one at least this year.

A few things of concern:
The 450r gets hot, quick. I need to be moving to keep her cool! A fan would be awesome.
I have your basic gear--boots, helmet, gloves. Need pants, jersey, and rooster.
Experience. This is my first dirtbike, a 450 at that. How bad are the course for newbs? Though I know I will love technical terrain!
Unknown motor hours, but it runs good atm.

my buddy has the same issue...he usually runs a YZ125, but it's missing 3rd, 4th, 5th gear ATM (kind need those) he's bringing his 450 out this weekend and is going to attempt practice Saturday and if all goes well w/out overheating...he'll race Sunday. Also gonna run water wetter through the cooling system to see if that'll help his cause.

Haha, new parts FTW

I'm buying a few things to make it kinda trail worthy, but hey, it's a fckn MX bike. lol
Clark 3.3 gas tank, high output stator for headlight, about-to-purchase heavier flywheel, and of course, regular high maintenance stuffz.

I'll be buying 21" front wheel for the WR250X. Maybe I'll take that instead.

I wouldn't put too much faith in the 450.
If the oil coolers weren't so expensive.

Alto, TX is 3 hours away according to google maps.

I'm looking to ride in the early mornings either Sat or Sun or Mon, but I just checked the weather. Ra--. Rai-. Rain. Ah well, fck it.

The 450 worked great for Ryan. No heating issues at all. You should definitely make it out to the May race in Huntsville!

Awesome news!
I chose supercool w waterwetter rather than honda coolant, etc. I'll see how well it keeps the 450 cool next trail ride.
I'll be making my way out there! I'm trying to find a 21" front rim for my 'tard so Falkryte can ride it as well. . . maybe.

Ack. It's forecasted to rain Friday. . . on my day off.
