Numb Fingers

Do many of you guys have problems with your hands going numb while riding sport bikes on the street?
Was wondering if maybe I'm just putting too much weight on my hands.
It's mostly my throttle hand and it only happens on the sport bike and not the tard.
I try to wiggle my fingers to help circulation, but they go numb again after a few minutes.

My hands go numb if i grip the throttle to hard. I just relax my hand and the feeling comes back.

I rode all through the winter so it would go numb because of cold. If you want you can readjust your handle bars and bring them closer to you so you dont have to put so much pressure on your hands.

Yea, happens sometimes to me even on a hybrid bicycle. Could be too much weight or even the angle your wrist is bent

gloves are too tight, grip is too tight, or your elbow is locked out with weight on your hand...

Could he too much weight on your wrists, happened to me when I started riding.
Or it could be too tight gloves, or it could be the angle of your wrist(is is bent or straight?)
OR it could be some totally non-moto issue, like carpal tunnel.

checked your tires and or suspension? could be causing extra vibration if your setup is off...it's not like you are a NOOB rider

had a mini that shook the right foot peg so bad that my foot would go to sleep/numb...tightend the motor mounts and the peg, problem resolved (obviously I know you are talking about your hands, just an example)

An old trick we used to do is fill the bars with buckshot. It will eliminate all vibration

does it happen when mowing the lawn, driving the car, at a keyboard, fapping?

If so, get checked out for CTS.

Don't forget that you have footpegs. Put a little more weight on your feet and use your back to take some weight off your hands.

+1

On my gixxer, I can go all day no numbness. Now my zx-6r, totally different story. bike vibrates so much I numb out my throttle hand.

Does your bike vibrate while you ride. And im not talking about high speed vibration!!!

weight your pegs, squeeze your abs, squeeze the tank with your thighs. it's a combination of all three.

lift up your elbows, it will force you to take weight off of your hands. Like your flapping your wings with your elbows.
