Thumbs down I will miss my Ninja

Well looks like I am losing my bike. FML
I will explain. I have a "good" friend who was not riding my Ninja for a year, it was sitting in the Garage. He asked me to take over the notes. I wanted a bike and my credit was shot.. * thanks ex-wife * So I agreed. I then got my baby!!! And have made all payments on time and with no issues.

Now my buddy emails me today saying that if I cant get the bike refinnace out of his name in 6 weeks he is selling it, so he can clear his credit and get a new toy.

Well the credit thing is killing me so I cant refinance the bike.. I HATE people. That and i recently lost my job of 3 years. FML

That would be my route cause then i would feel like I just rented the bike. I'm on the same boat except my best friend is still taking payments from me while he pays it off. If he pulled that stunt on me i wouldn't be his friend anymore.

If not there is not alot owed on the bike, perhaps a bank might make a small loan where kawasaki or the original finance company might not.

Did you keep any records of payment to this dude? Something you could take to small claims?

Best of luck man.

It also doesn't sound like it's your Ninja to miss....heck, look @ the payments you made as a rental fee. Maybe this is what you need to get your credit straightened out so you can get your own bike.

At least some of it. Did you sign any kind of a contract? Sorry, buddy. Sounds like you're S.O.L.

At least you will have learned a valuable lesson from all of this - never deal with your friends. If you have nothing in writing, it's his bike and he gets to make all the decisions.

You should give the bike back, stay mad forever at your 'friend', and buy something you can afford- LOTS of great bikes under $3k.

OH- and I'm totally sorry to hear about your job! That's shitty.

for $7800 that thing better be made of gold.

Your house should be easy to clean. Throw in some floor drains and get a power washer FTW

+1... Its like saying have the friend pay for the repairs while you ride it. Or you financed the bike and decide you dont want it... Do you ask the bank for your money back... Ummm... No.

If it was me, I would tell your friend thank you for giving me the importunity to ride. And HumbleA your friend should kiss you for not wrecking the bike.

That friend is a keeper!!
